Summary: Chat with Nisa right from your phone's text messaging app — no need to open the web app.
📋 What it is
You can text Nisa from your phone's SMS app. Send a question, dictate an observation, or snap a photo — Nisa replies by text, working from the same account you use on the web. It's available to coaches and teachers.
🪄 Getting set up
- Make sure a verified phone number is on your profile. You can add it during setup, or any time afterwards under My Profile — Nisa texts you a 6-digit code to confirm it. Until it's verified, texting won't work.
- Nisa texts you first. When you finish setting up your account with a phone number, Nisa sends a welcome text — save that number as a contact. If you added your phone later, or can't find that message, ask your Nisa contact for the number.
- Text it like any other conversation.
📎 What you can send
- Quick questions and notes
- Observation notes captured in the moment between classrooms
- One photo or PDF per message — PNG, JPEG, WEBP or PDF. Student work, the board, a lesson artifact.

⚠️
Nisa only reads the first attachment on a message, so send images one text at a time. Audio files aren't supported — "dictate an observation" means using your phone keyboard's dictation, not sending a voice memo.

✅ What coaches can do over text
Everything Nisa can do for you in the web app, it can do by text:
- Log an update — text Nisa what happened and confirm the summary it sends back
- Set or update a goal, or log progress on one
