Summary: Set goals with each teacher, log progress as evidence arrives, and track momentum over a coaching cycle.
🪄 Set a goal
- Open a teacher's profile and find Cycle Goals.
- Click Add goal.
- Write the outcome statement — what you're working towards. Nisa names the goal from it, and drafts a "what we're measuring" line as a starting point. Edit it to make it your own.
- Set a measure and a target — a percentage, a count ("8 of 10 students"), or a level. A target is required to create the goal.
- Optionally add action steps — the concrete moves toward the goal. You can add these later too.

💡
You can also set up goals and log progress conversationally in Ask Nisa — just tell Nisa the goal or the update, by typing or voice, and it handles the rest.

📈 Track progress
- Log a progress signal whenever you have evidence. Hover a goal and click Log progress, or open the goal's workspace. Record a rating — Emerging, Developing, Strong, or Very strong — a measure, or both. At least one is required.
- Each entry lands on the goal's trajectory: a row of dots showing how the goal has moved over time. Click any mark to change or remove it.
- Action steps track the moves you agreed on. Tick them off as they're done — they're a to-do record, not the progress measure.

🔒
Progress is always yours to author. Nisa never scores a goal for you or infers a rating you didn't give. Where it has enough to say something, it adds a short Nisa's Take beneath the trajectory — an interpretation of what you logged, not a replacement for it.

🔄 Coaching cycles
- A cycle is a bounded stretch of coaching work. Click Start cycle next to the Cycle Goals title to begin one; while it runs you'll see a ● Day N badge.
- Click that badge to end the cycle. Nisa walks you through a short wrap-up — for each goal, where it landed (Emerging / Developing / Strengthening) plus an optional reflection — then archives the goals and drops a "Cycle ended" entry onto the Growth Record.
- Cycles have a horizon, not a deadline. Nothing in Nisa goes overdue.
